Hello all. After being on a high from our Padi licence in Koh Tao we were on the move again to Koh Phanagan and planned to do a half moon party. We were staying on the south coast in a resort called Weang Thai. They were rocking a pool bar so that had to be checked out first. It was pretty cool swimming to the bar to get a chang beer and looking out to the sea, that’s that box ticked.
Met up with a couple of Irish lads that were over on a holiday and we all jumped a Taxi to hit the jungle for the half moon party. 16 ended up in or on the taxi, it was a pickup packed with limbs. The party was class and really well setup wit body paint and lights everywhere. Next day wasn’t so hot lol.
One of the days we managed to rent two mopeds for a days hire and take off around the Island, it was a lot of fun just driving around stopping at all the different resorts and checking out some really nice beaches. Did some snorkling just off the beach and the water was so clear and the fish and other rare things were everywhere. Finished up in the north of the Island at Coral Bay. They had their own pig that just walked about the resort – some one had wrote on the side of it with a marker “eat more chicken” lol.
The Island was very different to Koh Tao with a different beach scene so most people tended to keep them selves in the resorts so we had a very chilled day in the pool and just chatted with all the other people around the resort , we’re even working on our Thai an it’s slowly improving lol
Next stop is Koh Sumi so we’ll update again after we sus it out.
