Just came back from Halong Bay which i loved. It was beautiful but so hot. Came back a little red. Nearly spent the night on the boat as planned but met 8 great girls so changed and stayed in the hotel on cat ba island and had a great night out. Luckily i didnt stay on the boat. Sapa - Well i found Sapa amazing. Unfortunatly i got the raw end of the deal on the night train for booking so late over festival period with a hard sleeper (a tiny room with 6 bunk beds with only metal and a role mat beneath me). I have seen some of the most disgusting things here. (You can wait until the photo's though to see what i mean! yes i had to capture them!) Hanoi is another busy city but better than Bangkok. Crossing the road is the most dangerous thing ive done!, and your extremely lucky to make it back to the hotel without dirt, blood and god knows what else on your feet. Ive actually just left Luang Prabang. Was more of a city than Vientiane the capital was! Had a great night market and there was plenty to do. Met a great crowd. We got a tuk tuk to the large waterfall which was beautiful and i managed to cycle to the smaller one! Met up with Emma but unfortunatly was her first day there and my last night!

The drive from Vientiane to Vang Vien was about 4 hours long and very bumpy to say the least. The roads were deserted and you could imagion an ambush! Saw some disturbing things that are obviously normal to the locals but will take a while for me to adjust to. Vang Vien is a lot less populated and seems very chilled out. The people here are genuinly friendly and there is so much to do. Went Tubing today up the Mekong river, stopping to meet other travellers ...
