Well we have reached the end of our journey at 53 degrees south. It does not get dark until 11pm and its light by 4.30pm. We can see Tierra del Fuego accross the straights of Magellan. You would think at the bottom end of South America that it would be a cold desolate place, but here we find a thriving busy city of 150,000 people, its warm and sunny. The locals say we've had it good! it can get nasty, with a long cold winter. Today is Robyn´s birthday. We celebrated with a great meal and cake at a local resturant called la Lunar. Now we fly our way north to Santiago, on to New Zealand, Sydney then Adelaide. Its been a great trip and we hope you have enjoyed following our adventures on this blog. A special thank you to all the families that have been so hospitable along the way, the Greismans in New York, Miguel and Laura in The Broncs, The Mullens in Salt Lake City, The Hoopers in Guatemala, Angela in Riobamba and the Orellana family in Ecuador. Many thanks for all your messages along the way and we look forward to catching up with everybody over Christmas and New Year.
Adios, Hasta luego
Robyn, Toby and Pedro
