I spent nearly a week in the beautiful Sihanoukville, where I went to Bamboo Island which was amazing, and Ream National Park where we went on a boat trip through the mangroves, saw dolphins and various birds before stopping on the beach for an hour and swam in the gorgeous warm sea, then went on a little trek through the jungle and had lunch before heading back to shore - Here i met Polly and her mum Jan who have really taken me under their wing - I wasnt feeling too well and you know how it is when you are a bit run down...i had spent the whole morning convincing myself that i had had enough and was going to get the next flight home that i could - The tour guide asked why i hadnt eaten my lunch and i said i wasnt feeling too well and Polly who w3as sitting next to me asked if i was ok - and that was it, the flood gates opened, but she gave me a massive hug, asked how long i was traveling for and then said "right, your traveling with me from now on" - she has been a diamond and we get on so well! Jan is leaving to go home today as she was just out for two weeks, but Polly and I will be together for the next couple of weeks which is good, i feel a lot better and i have realized that im really not ready to come home yet, i have still got so much to see!
Now we are back in Phenom Pehn, Yesterday we were having a drink in a cafe next to the road (which is really, really busy) when all of a sudden we see a massive great elephant walking down the road - it was really strange! but so cool!
I think we are going to head west next to Kratie where we should be able to see the Irrwaddy Dolphins - But Polly and i need to sit down and chat properly about it first so i shall let you know when we have decided!
