Hi
I am writting this blog entry after spending 7 days in koh samui, and i can really say i have had such a amazing time here in koh samui. The 11 hour journey from car to coach back to car to another coach, ferry and taxi was truly all worthwhle in the end.
We spent our first night not so impressed at all as being tired from a big long old journey getting here at 10pm we was all just wanted somethink to eat and a nice clean place to sleep, But instead we had a grotty hut on the beach with mould growing on the wall and the room didn't smell to good either ha ha... But what did we expect when we ask for cheap cheap and only paid 300 baht a night each (about 4 pound) a night.
After putting our bags in we headed straight to Pizza Hut up the road as we was all starvin marvin's so it was defiantley time to hit the hut... We literally ordered everythink on the menu and we defiantley all had eyes to big for our bellies again we had garlic bread coming out of our ear holes he he.... After dinner we decided to head back to our huts and see if we could get a better rooms, the reception was shut so we literally had to wake the poor women up and luckly enough she moved us up to a apartment, which was a bit better and no mould whooooo, Only problem was we had to get up 2 flights stairs with our mega back packs with the biggest steps i had ever seen.
So by this time i was red in the face and boiling hot carrying the mega beef back pack with my other bags up the giant steps, god knows how claude managed with her little legs, So i bit my teeth and climbed the stairs and hoped to be atleast half a stone lighter by the time i got to the top, That night we all had a early night as we were all so tired, claude and kelly wouldnt have a shower as the bathroom looked a bit grotty, but me and jenna the hardcore travellers grinned and bared it and had a showers wasnt that bad atleast we was now clean and felt better for it.
The next day we changed to the hotel next door the Samui Coral Resort which was so much nicer all newish rooms all clean with tv and big green fridge and matching curtains nice big balcony and pool on the beach lovely jubbley..... That day the heavens literally opened up and it poured down so we just spent that day having lunch doing loads of shopping as there loads more shops and market stools in koh samui that evening we had dinner then went to bar called solo bar which was really treandy and cool and we ended up going there every night for drinks and a few games of pool after solo bar we was told to go to either soul bar or green mango club, so first we tired out soul bar which was really busy and playing all r&b music (lucy u would of loved it)... after cutting a few shapes in there we went to green mango club opposite which was a even big club with loads of bars in there and two big rooms playing different muisc like one playing funky house and old skool and the other playing r&b so it was all good we had a really good nite and meet loads random people from all over the world the club finshed at 3am so we walked home and see a man selling masks so we decided try them all on literally jen was bart simpson and kel and claude had these really scary masks and some reason i ended up with bin, as i was still on my antibotics i still hadn't been able to drink so i had been on the red bull all night plus there red bull out here is different to ours back home it tastes more less the same but has no fizz, so u can imagine i was wide awake most of night poor jen was trying to shut me up so she could sleep he he u know me i talk enough for england already ha ha poor jenna,
The next day the weather was better so we headed straight to the beach to catch the rays spent the whole day falling asleep on the beach, then later day did a bit more shopping and bumped into my mate jay from school so it was good to see him he had just spent a month in sydney. Later that nite i found a place right next to our hotel to get my hair blow dryed for only 100 baht (1.30) lovely so got my hair done and been going ther most nights love it... even made friends with the thai ladies in there, there really funny i think i am properly the best customer he he, that night it wa back to solo bar and soul bar and green mango club claude met a thai guy called george and his friend and they have been our friends ever since we have been here george has been like a best friend to all of us since we have been in koh samui he is such a lovely guy his from a place in thailand near phi phi but he now lives in Finland as he plays guitar and is a total rock star (what a ledge!!!) he got spotted playing in phi phi by a lady from finland and she now pays him good money to play in her band in finland so he says hes really lucky as could never earn the money he earns in finland here. George lost his wife in The Tsumai 3 years ago he met her here in thailand but she was from Sweden and they was married for 11 months, it was a really sad story u just can't imagine how hard that must of been for him, Since being in Thailand u just can't imagine how such a beautiful ocean could ruin so many people lifes and such a amazing place. Thai people are really are so kind and friendly and really can't do enough for you we have made so many friends here in thailand and i am really going to miss this place so much and i defiantley will be returning.
On one of our days here we did a Canopy adventure which is cable rides through the rainfrorest, we got took on the back of a truck there was us four and 2 girls from LA who were really lovely one was in a band and did acting and the other sold property. We arrived at the camp and sat there getting all our safety belts put on and as we was all laughing and joking with The girls from LA a big fat snake cdame flying down the steps above the moutain, i just froze know lie it looked a big plastic snake everyone screamed and was so scared and especially when the thai people screamed too and told us to quickly all get in the hut we all run to the hut and bundled inside i never seen somethink move so fast, terror
Lucky enough the thai guy chased the snake with a big fat axe and it run away, after all that dramatics we all sat down and tried to get over what happend ha ha so funny but scary def one for jeremy beadle ha ha.. we had a little walk up the mountain to get5 the start of our first cable ride it was like the trek in chioang mai all over again ha ha but only took us 20 minutes to get to the first ride, cable riding was really cool but scary at time as we was quite high up on tree house things riding from one cable to the next, all the girls did really well especially jen as she didn't want to do it in the begin as she's a bit frieightend of heights, on my second go one of my flip flops fell off so i had to walk back with no shoes killer..... after riding all 7 cable rides we headed back to camp and had fresh fruit and water we really had a wicked day.
