23rd February Rotorua
Our second day on the kiwi experience we left our turtle cove hostel and headed for Rotorua on the coach we stop do a walk through caves we had our geeky rain jackets on as it was pouring down so we all looked lush as ever ha ha. We arrived Rotorua where they have them hots pools underground so the town smells very eggy lovely jubbley.
First we went go karting Jenna and Claudia didn't come as they never had trainers I went and raced against the Swedish girls Johanna and Tobe so it was English verse the sweds it was well funny as it was only a small race track so if u went to fast round the corners u would slide and crash so easy it was really funny I was doing my usual nutty driving and won so I was one happy bunny. After that i went back our hostel the hot rocks hostel to see the girls and have a swim in the smelly hot pool which was lovely apart from the eggy smell ha ha!!!
That night we went to the Traditional Tamaki night which was really cool but quite scary when we first arrived had to keep a straight face when all the mari's did the tribal dancing apparently they thinks is really disrespectful if u laugh while they do there tribal dance, So all of us were trying so hard not to laugh. We got all shown round the mari's old homes and camp fires etc these mari guys well so well fit all nice muscly bodies then there did loads of dancing then we had a amazing roast dinner which was cooked from the old fashioned wood coal fire's underground they use to use in the old days we loved it
Next day it was up early to go to tamaki park were they had loads massive rocks pools which we also got to learn mari dance routines see the museum and the boys got to the tribal dance which was really funny. After that we made our way to Waitomo.
