Well we have moved onto our next location - Parati! Slightly more beautiful that Rio! (I will add photos soon once I find a computer that seems to accept them!) This place has a real european feel to it. We are staying in the historical part of the town - its just so pretty! We arrived at a really good time as Parati is in the middle of a festival - there is loads of stalls (slightly dangerous for me as I do like the odd necklace or pair of earrings!) and live music. The guy who owns our appartment is so sweet. He provides us with guided tours around the town,telling us the best place to buy our fruit etc, as well as introducing us to everyone! I think he thinks that we are just a little blond and therefore needs to keep an eye on us...this may have something to do with the fact that we got ourselves locked into our room within the first hour of being there and had to wait several hours to get out....it wasn't our fault the wind blew the door shut!. Anyway...we went on a boat trip round a few of the 65 islands that surround Parati. The views are absolutely amazing! we did a little snorkling on one of the islands with tropical fish - good fun! I think weare now going to head into town and have a look at a few of the stalls and then head to one ofthe bars with live music.
