So we arrived at our final destination of Cairns on Monday and straight away I fell in love with this place. Its such a cute place, kind of like a little holiday town. Anyway, we checked into shennanigans hostel and then headed to the lagoon...its so pretty there. We chilled out there for a bit then met up with some of Laura's friends from school who are out here. Steph and I went for a swim in the lagoon then when we got out got informed that some little kid had pooed himself in there...nice :)

Anyway, we stayed there a little longer then headed to the hostel to change, we were going to meet Loz's friends in a pub/restaurant for a ten dollar meal special :) We had BBQ Ribs, a pint of strongbow and carrot cake for dessert (baragin). Then we headed home early. I couldn't sleep though as it was about minus 55 thousand degrees in the room and the aircon was on a timer so we couldn't do anything abouyt it. So about 5am i decided to move all my covers to a bed the otehr side of the dorm which was better :)

Next day we got up and I received a text off James Braithwaite (for those who know him) Someone my dad knows who lives in Cairns and we met him after shopping for a bit and he drove us to a place called crystal cascades which was really pretty. Then he took us to a lookout over Cairns which was also really pretty. Spent the afternoon with him then he dropped us off at the shopping centre (which is huge). Then we headed back to the hostel and cooked then went to the cinema to watch 27 dresses (which people reading this you have to go watch).

Day 3 (Wednesday) Loz and Steph sunbathed all day while I mooched around the city as it was too hot to lie out in the sun (36 degrees today). Then we saw Kate and Sarah - two girls off our Whitsundays sailing trip who are staying in Gilligans so maybe going to see them for a quick catch up tonight before going to bed early as we have to be at the airport tomorrow (Thursday) at 4am.

So there we go... thats Australia over unfortunately - very sad to be leaving but super excited for New Zealand to come. Just can't get over how quickly the past 6 weeks have gone!!!
