Ru and Bear's Global Escapade
Our final stop in Australia: Melbourne. Obviously, we saved the best till last.
We've been having a fabulous time with the Bond family (no relation of James, but a cousin of Claire's dad). We had a champagne Sunday lunch with an old family friend, Cindy, who took us sightseeing along the beautiful Melbourne coastline. Thanks again, Cindy!
We checked out the art gallery and the Kylie exhibition at the arts centre. Claire looked fabulous in those gold hotpants, but no photography was allowed. Shame.
We took a day trip along the spectacular Great Ocean Road to see the famous Twelve Apostles rock formations. We didn't actually manage to count all twelve, but were assured they were there... somewhere! We saw wild kangaroos and koalas, and a parrot landed on Emma's head. Lucky her.
We also went to see the Neighbours set (don't snigger... you'd have done it too if you were here!). Unfortunately, Harold and Lou were too busy drooling over old photos of Mrs Mangle to meet us... maybe next time. As Lyn and Steph Scully were at the hairdressers, we were asked to stand in for them in a gritty, Ramsay Street bust-up, to be shown soon. Check out the Victoria photo album for more details....
We loved Australia and are sad to say goodbye, but new adventures beckon in New Zealand....
Lots of love, the sheilas xx
