HiAfter leaving Rotorua we headed up to the Cormomandel Penninsula which is a very popular area for Kiwis to take their annual holidays as its full of beaches and lovely scenery.We only spent just over a day in this area driving along the Penninsula and by boat. HiOur next stop was Rotorua which is a town with loads of geo-thermal activity and so it smells of sulphur or rotten eggs, and it really does!!On the way to Rotarua we stopped at Hukka falls, one of the most spectacular falls in the North Island. Hi After leaving Franz Josef we headed north to Nelson and then for our final stop in the South Island to Picton. We spent the night in Picton and then took the car ferry to Wellington in the North Island. The three hour crossing across the Cook Strait was quite stomach churning and we were very pleased to dock.
