great update and photos, although I tend to agree with you don't think I'd eat those spiders.
The elephant trek looked fun though even if she did stop when she felt like it to have a snack or two.
Fancy finding a Prince of Wales pub looked a bit run down thou.

just seen the rest of your Kiwiland photos. The scenary looks beautiful. The Pancake rocks look strange thou.
Also the waterfalls look extremley cold to cold to be jumping in thats for sure I bet it took your breath away for a few moments. How come the sign post didnt have Cardiff on it lol.

really nice to hear from you on sunday. Sorry to hear about the altitude sickness and exhaustion you were suffering. hopefully you are taking it easy this week to allow yourself plenty of time to recover and recharge your batteries before you carry on with your great adventure.

Great to see another report, and typical of you to miss the bus, nothing changes does it but well done on getting the taxi. If it's anything like the taxis we went in while we were in Brazil, then you really would have been flying!
Take care and enjoy the views at Mcchu Picchu it's only 8,000ft above sea level (GULP!)
Compare that to Brecon which is only about 2,000ft I think.

I've just bought a book on the Inca Trail that's close to Cusco isn't it . Are you going to Machu Picchu ? If so keep some notes on guides and places to stay . I am planning a trip there - probably next year now as my leg is currently in plaster ( not good for walking !!)
