Today hasn't been a disaster. I still have both my kidneys. But it hasn't gone terribly well. I spent slightly too long in breakfast conversation with a South Carolinan going to an ashram in Jaipur and so by the time I made it to the New Delhi Railway Station metro it was already 10am. Delhi Delhi Delhi.... Delhi. What a city. Made my way on the metro north to Lal Quila and the Old City. There, opposite the Red Fort I mulled around a Jain temple, getting charged an arm and a leg by O2, trying to work out where my walking tour guide was. So this is India! It's definitely not a place someone can shrug your shoulders and go 'meh' at. I had a very smooth flight and arrival in Delhi. I had a free seat next to me + a window seat which meant not only did I have great views of American military bases in Afghanistan at night, and German coastal villages, I also had decent leg space. Have made it on the short hop across the channel to Schiphol! Schiphol is mega expensive. My disappointing Dutch BLT and water cost me £9... Still, got free wifi, loads of charging ponts and a very clean airport. Although there is a high risk of death by trolley. The flight appeared to be mostly of Nigerians, Chinese and Indians making cheap connecting flights like I am through KLM. KLM are certainly a very posh airline and the flight was very nice. Hopeful...
