Got up at 6am, had to try and do without waking others up in the dorm! Something I've got to get used to!..
While I was packing Kelly went out to get breakfast. Then we had to try and fnd the bus stop back to the place we had come from, not as easy as we had thought! Kelly asked a local who was sweet and took us to the bus stop. The bus was much busier suppose because earlier as well.
Got to the airport and checked in with Air Asia. Was a 2 hour flight to Bangkok and the plane wasn't that full. Think it's the equivilent to EasyJet but much nicer! Had to queue for over an hour at Customs but got chatting to the guy in front who was traveling Asia and gave us some tips on what to see and do.
Found the bus to the city center, took about an hour and a half. We got dropped off in the backpacker area but got lost again trying to find our accommodation! Took over an hour and it was so hot! Wasn't in a good mood!.. Then we found it and was happier! Stayed in a lovely place guest house and had the room to ourselves which was an added bonus!
After we settled in we decided what to do as the Royal Palace had closed, even though I've seen it Kelly hasn't. So we decided to go to the shopping mall as we needed a few bits. As soon as we stepped out we bhartered with a tuk tuk driver to take us to the mall, they drive like nutters! We nearly had an accident near a bridge! Had to laugh... Didn't find what we were looking for but enjoyed looking around. Went for thai dinner in the food court, thought I would have phad thai, adventerous I know! ;o) But it was so spicy I couldn't eat it! But had sticky rice and mango for dessert hhhmmmm!
Then we got another tuk tuk back who must have driven us all over Bangkok! We decided to get off at the night market as we didn't think he knew where he was going! Had a look around and saw fried cockroaches and other insects, wasn't that brave to try anything!..
Luckily Kelly remembered about our Cambodian visa so we went to an internet cafe to sort out. I hadn't opened the attachments and then noticed that I had both visas and both had Kelly's pictures! One of them had all my information! Didn't know what to do so we had to go to another internet cafe to find a printer that worked! Then emailed the Cambodian Embassy to let them know, just so that we were covered in case anything happened!
