Hi all,

so we need to update quite a lot, so we will have a go tonight.
Hanoi first, as we pulled out of the airport a water buffalo and cart pulled out straight in front of us - it couldn’t be more Vietnamese!
Again it is so hot and still so early in the day I hate to go on about it but I just cannot get used to it.
Our hotel was located in the Old Quarter. It was ok apart from the dodgy crack in the ceiling and the door to the balcony didn’t lock properly but the room was huge and a nice big bed and brilliant air con!
We visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Min museum which where both very interesting again we missed the embalmed body, we also went to the Hilton Hotel (Hoalo Prison) which was pretty gruesome.
We wondered around Hoan Kiem Lake which is a nice spot to watch life around you, it is also next to the Hanoi Water Puppet Theatre which we didn't make time for but I heard good things about it!
You can see from the photos Herman has developed a hobby spotting motorbikes with more than 2 people on???
Hate to say it but Hanoi is only a city it's not that special - there is things to see but not as amazing as people made out and there is so many beggars and people bombarding you to buy there crap in the streets. This may make me sound really heartless as I know they are poor but they really need to learn No means No not harass me more while smiling!
