Helloo Sorry i have not updated this recently. I have been very busy and have not had the time. We have done melbourne now. It is an excellent city although not as exciting as sydney i feel, others may disagree. We got here from canberra and watched england lose again to the aussies. We then left a hostel not even staying there because it was a dump, and we told them. Ne way we went to the zoo which was excellent in places although a shame in the fact that we thught some animals were in small caged areas, also that screaming kids actually wind them up adding to this problem. Kids therefore should be banned from zoos. We then went to the old vic market, the aquarium, up the rialto towers, The grand prix circuit, staying in St. Kilda for one night which was really nice. A cosmopolitan area with a quirky feel. I watched england lose in the world cup - rooney getting sent off deservedly so. We also did the neighbours tour to Ramsay Street, actually called Pin oak court. It was awesome and i stood outside lou and haroldas house. Its smaller than it looks in real life too - we also went to erinsborough high school - an english languiage school. It was brilliant. We also found out they are mad at one sport in melbourne - AFL - so we went to the MCG to see a game between the kangaroos and the bulldogs. It was great, in a huge stadium. We also went to a rugby league NRL game - the storm vs the canterbury bulldogs. This was excellent too!! With melbourne winning in the last second!!! We then hired a car and went on the great ocean road, which was breathtaking. The views are awesome with the 12 apostles and we also saw some southern right whales. We over nighted there and then we drove to phillip island and saw the little penguins waddling up the beach to their homes which was interesting and also funny. Wer also saw the pelicans being fed and went to various beaches which were all excellent. We are off to New Zealand next to Christchurch to do there for a while. Will update soon
