This is what we came away for!!!

i really didn`t take me long to fall madly and deeply in love with these islands, and after not sitting on a beach for about 4 months this was a welcome sight. the first day here and we already changed our flights out. we wanted to do the galapagos properly. we walked into a travel agents on the first day asking for the time and before we left we had booked our place on a first class 8 day cruise around the islands!!! it cost an arm and a leg but i`ll worry about that when i get home. porta ayora is the main town of all the islands, a really nice little place with great resturants and some good night life, which we sampled once and felt ill for 2 days after, must be getting old!!! one of the days we went diving and i had a couple of firsts. i saw my first sea horse (which was surprisingly big). on the surface interval we went snorkling where we saw a white tip shark and a tropical penguin (another first) and i had the life scared out of me by a playful sea lion. on the second dive i saw my first eagle ray!! and about 2 minutes after that we had a huge manta ray glide right over the top of our heads (this thing was about 4 meters wide!!!), absolutly amazing. after 4 days on santa cruz it was tme for our little boat trip!
