Well, for anyone who has spoken to me or been following my status on Facebook you will probably know that I am heading off to travel the world for a few months. During my travels I am hoping to keep a brief travel blog going, very short stories of my interesting and quirky experiences (on past form I am bound to get myself into trouble at least once).

I don't plan on doing anything too in depth - to be honest being a notoriously lazy blogger in the past I probably would not keep up to date with a long blog, and I suspect a large number of you would not want to read the excruciating details of my entire trip.... the funny and embarrassing stories are much more entertaining!

So over the next two months I will be planning to see Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Greece and Croatia, and maybe a few other stops depending on where my feet take me. At the moment I am sitting in Vienna International Airport waiting for my transfer to Cairo, despite a minor crash in my taxi on the way to Heathrow and some trouble with my flight booking (they could not find my booking for about 10 minutes, at one stage asking if I was supposed to fly from City Airport, on the other side of London)..... hopefully the worst things that happen on the trip!
