After a couple of hours on unnervingly good roads we got to Siem Reap & had no idea what we had walked into. There were about 50 tuk tuk drivers waiting to take us wherever we wanted for the equivalent of 5p (provided they take us around Angkor of course). So I stepped off the bus into the maelstrom thinking i would have to do my Kevin Costner/Bodyguard routine & carry Emma to safety whilst fighting off the braying hordes. Only to turn around & see her sat on the bus telling me to get the bags.... hhmmmmm There are some really nice bars & places to eat here all on one street - including the self styled 'Angelinas favourite'. apparently whenever she's filming rubbish action movies or buying small children she always stops off for a quick pint (after having the entire street shut down no doubt). It's especially good after a day or 2 of wandering around Angkor..............
