So it was time to leave Sydney on the 7th March...spent just over two months with my family and it kinda felt like home, so I was a bit gutted to leave...but on the other hand I was looking foward to seeing Ed and Matt again, and to get back into the backpacker lifestyle...there's nothing quite like it...
Flew into Cairns around 10.30pm and got picked up by a cabbie who was close personal friends with Ronnie Corbett...legend by association...!!! (My favourite kind)...By the time I got intot he hostel, it was pretty late, so I saved my energy for an emotional reunion the next day...
Had a wander around Cairns the next day before the guys came in...its pretty nice around here...just unbelievably hot too...had a walk round the Esplande and got tempted by the Reef Hotel casino...the guys came in around 7pm and it was sooo good to see them...very emotionalits only been 6 weeks...but it feels like a lot has happened since then (Ed is a certified diver now...good lord)...met a couple of guys called Dan and Tom, that the guys met up the East Coast...they were a couple of proper jokers
We ended up going to the Woolshed and meeting up with two of the girls that they met up the East Coast...Tasha and Hannah...they're really nice girls and we ended up doing the Cape Trib tour with them as well...The Woolshed was pretty cool...bit of a meat market to be honest...it was a pub restaurant, so it didnt have much of a dancefloor...everyone ended up dancing on these picnic tables...and of course, I partook in a few random shape throwing...I managed to embarass myself (again...!!!) by putting my foot between the seat and the table and falling right on my arse...in front of the girls...man it was grrreatt...!!! I actually just lay there for a good 30secs contemplating why im such an idiot...lol Ended up having a great night...one i was in desparate need of...havent been on a proper night out since Australia Day weekend...so it was good to let the old hair down
