After a brief scare over whether I was on the tour or not, we headed down to Litchfield National Park, where we got to handle some more snakes...another Monty...and Neil The Diamond Python...we then were treated to a Crocodile Jump cruise...was pretty amazing to see them up close...even though it is a bit of a circus show and not really natural for them...was pretty impressive nonetheless...we then headed down to Adelaide River, where we got to see the Bull from Crocodile Dundee for the 2nd time..then we headed down to Buley Rock Hole and Florence falls for a couple of swims...was so beautiful down there...!
The next day we headed down to the Warradjun Aboriginal Cultural Centre and then onto the Nourlangie Rock Art Site...really interesting to hear the stories and beliefs of the Aboriginal people...we then headed down to Boulder Creek for yet another swim...
It was a shame that our timing of this part of the tour was wrong, as it was during the wet season and most of the scheduled stops like the Jim Jim and Twin falls were too dangerous to visit...on the last day it was abosolutely monsooning it down and the Mary river was flooded...so all we could really visit was the Moline Rock Hole for yet another swim, before heading to a Didgerydoo and Aboriginal Arts Centre...where I finally got the hang of playing a Didgerydoo...
That night we got another free meal at the Vic in Darwin...and the guys came out for what turned out to be mine and Ed's last night in Australia since the beginning of October...we had a wicked night...where I displayed my newfound Didgerydoo playing skills and played it on a Vacuum cleaner hose...very hygenic...and Ed managed to scam his way into winning $50 tab behind the bar...we were getting our flight at midnight that night...so we had to leave around 10pm-ish to catch our flight...pretty emotional leaving Australia after so long...but have been really looking forward to New Zealand and finally meeting back up with Kerry
