Day 1, the adventure begins but not without injury, couldn't hide the hockey injury from the weekend from Alice for too long and she was indeed as angry as I'd expected! Anyway, first stop Gatwick, after a night in the travelodge next to the airport. Second stop, the watch shop after dropping mine at security on the hard tiled floor. Rolling with a nice new orange number now! A spot of breakfast at Jamie Oliver's place and then onto the plane for the first leg to Dubai. Sat right at the very back with quite a few empty seats around us so didn't feel too cramp and no one in front of us to put their seats back. A couple of nice meals with beers whilst watching some films such as The Hangover 3 and Man of Steel, both average at best.
A 2 hour stop over in Dubai soon came and went and it was onto Bangkok.........
