Well the last few days in Quito have been fairly uneventful except to say that I had dinner with a couple of good, respectable church going girls from the Texas side of New Mexico (?). We were chatting away and then one of them actually said "This one time, at band camp" and I was transported back to the "Flute sticking incident" from American Pie. My eyes filled with tears as I wanted to just crack up but I managed to keep it together. Highly amusing. Anyway...

An early start again, I decided to embark onto a city tour of Quito. I went to the Equator and stood 'straddling' it with one foot in the Southern Hem'shper and one in the Northern.
