We arrived into Auckland at 4.20 am after what seemed like 3 days of travelling!! Very tired!! Flew with Lan Chile...worst airline food ever, not impressed!

Arrived to the hostel around 6.30am and luckily someone was in to let us in as reception didnt open until 8.30! Hostel was really cute, its like someones home so nice to have some home comforts after SA! We chilled out in the lounge (complete with xmas tree!!) until reception opened but we couldnt check in until midday!

We were too awake by this point (although exhausted!) so me Char and Kat went into the city, leaving Becky sleeping! We somehow went a bit crazy (blame the jet lag) and did lots of shopping! Think the normality of the city after being in SA was a bit of a shock to us and we shopped like we were in Leeds on a Saturday afternoon! Have no idea how I will fit the new clothes in to my already over full backpack! Oops!!

Auckland is actually a pretty nice city as far as cities go but we havent done too much here, just chilled and planned what we want to do for the next 6 weeks we are here. Majority of yesterday was spent in a coffee debating whether to get the Magic bus for the entire 6 weeks as theres a good offer on at the moment or get a car/campervan for the North Island and then the Magic bus for the South Island.

Turns out there arent any campers available as its the holiday season so we've gone with a car which we'r picking up tomorrow and a tent so we'r camping our way round the North Island for the next 3 weeks and then heading to the South Island which we will join the Magic bus for!

p.s it was raining this morning...this is not what I signed up for!! Left my umbrella in SA as its supposed to be SUMMER here!!!
