After Lesley finished work on Monday night we had dinner then headed to the car hire place where we picked up the car and headed on our four hour road trip to Orlando!!!
We had the old CD's out boogying away to the golden oldies, what a laugh, its mad that you still know the words to the old classics!! After the long boring highway we finally arrived into Orlando. I felt like I was 12 again, getting all excited with myself. Even the gift shops which filled the streets looked magical!!!! We finally reached the hotel about midnight. After enjoying a wee vino (we had to pick up a bottle at the petrol station on the way!!!) we headed to bed.
The following morning the alarm woke us up for brekkie and our ealy start!! After breakfast the shuttle bus collected us and we headed to Universal Studios. We were one of the first to enter the park, which was fab as we got to go straight to the popular rides and get on first!! Although the first few hours in the park remained totally dead which we just loved as we could just jump on any ride where ther would normally be a 1-2 hour queue!!!!! We went straight to the Simpsons ride which was the newest ride in the park. It was amazing, the effects blew me away!! I will never enjoy the links market again hahaha. We went on everything, Men in Black, The mummy which was my favourite, it was based on the film, was quite a scary one, like a roller coaster inside but you went through different areas fast!! You couldnt see what was going on, you went through fire and totally felt the heat then through water!! Fantastic!!!! We also did the ET ride, Jaws, which was hilarious still there from years ago with the dodgy looking shark but was such a laugh!! We watched the Shrek show which was 4D it was fab!!!! We had done so much in the first few hours that we thought we should find out how much it was to upgrade to a 2 park 1 day pass. It was only 15 dollars each so we went for it!! The Island of Adventure was right next to Universal so after lunch we headed there. The rides there were more intense!!! We went on the Incredible Hulk which was a roller coaster, it was fantastic!! Went from like 0 to 70 in secons then shot off the edge of the top of the coaster!!! There was another few roller coasters which we done one after the other, I was feeling a little worse for wear afterwards!!! There was 3 water rides which we did and ended up soaked but was great as it was getting so hot, it totally cooled us down!!! The Spiderman ride was probably one of the most spectacular rides!! It was 3D and you were on a cart!! You had to be there haha. After loads more shows and rides we headed to the City Walk which is filled with bars and restaurants. Our shuttle bus wasnt until 7.15 and the park closed at 5!! We headed to the Irish pub where they were doing 2 for 1 cocktails!!! We ended up very tipsy sat munching nachos!!!!
We made it to the shuttle bus and headed back to the hotel. We were considering being mongs and going to bed since the drink had sort of went to our heads but we managed to get chaged and headed to TGI Fridays!! No shower and still feeling mingin from being in the sun all day like but you just dont bother after a few drinks do you haha. We had more drinks and more nibbles then hit our beds for another full day on Wednesday.
We were meeting a guy I used to work with in Spain who was now working in Epcot. He was going to get us into the Magic Kingdom free!!! BONUS!!! It was fab. We met him and he suggested we head over to Epcot where he worked about 5 and wed get in ther too!!! So thats just what we did!!!!!
Disney was just awesome the Americans would say!! It was magical. Everything you looked at was over the top, which made it Disney. We did all the adult rides including Space Mountain and enjoyed the shows. The Mickey show was amazing, it was 3D and the best!! I was getting my cheaps haha. They also had a Monsters Inc show where the one eyes monster hosted and people from the audience appeared on the screen randomly, luckily I didnt!! There was a haunted house which again was amazing, you have to go to experience it like. I had never wanted to before but now iv done it oh my god im so glad!!!! We watched the parade at 3pm which included loads of the disney characters then enjoyed another few rides before catching the Monorail to Epcot. We met Kevin and headed inside.
Kev stayed with us and did a few rides. Oh my god they forced me onto this one where you felt like you were in space, ohhhh there was sick bags in the ride which freaked me out!!!! The g force and spins were killing me!!! lol. I survived though!!! Me and Lesley walked through the themed areas which were themed like differend countries, Norway, Canada, China, France, Japan, Morocco and the UK!!!! Our last ride was another amazing one haha. It was called soaring and you were going on a glider ride over California it relaly felt like you were there!! There was water scenes, beach, mountains you also flew over the Golden Gate Bridge. Everyone was like wow, awesome, bad ass dude!!!! Oh iv picked up some sayings whilst being in America like!!!!
There were fireworks at the end of the night. We left the park as soon as we could to get the Monorail back to the car ready for our 4 hour drive home. We were on the road about 930 and shared the drive back. My bed was calling!!!!!!!! What a fab 2 days though, 4 parks!!!! Il defo be back!!
