17 hours on a bus and I'm far from BA with swollen ankles and not well rested. I have a mission though.. When I got here Thursday morning I went straight to the Brazilian embassy to get my visa. Had to go back the next day and pick it up. Mission accomplished!! Yippee!!

Other than that it's been hammock, food, pool. So so relaxing. I feel like I'm properly on holidays now. I left Nat and Steph in BA - was fun with them but travelling alone is the best. They are soon heading to Chile to buy their motorbike - I hope it works out for them. Lots of hoops to jump through but I think they're determined.

Last night I went out with my new best friend, Bita. Made the mistake of drinking local alcohol. They have a very heavy hand when pouring - one drink is about 5 shots. Really, never again. No more cheaps*** local alcohol! I feel wretched today. Lucky I don't have to do anything today except fly to Rio tonight. Can't wait to get to Brazil!!!
It's about 32 degrees right now. Blue skies. More hammock pool and maybe I'll manage to stomach some food soon.
