Good Friday 22 April
Easter already? Well, we have been on the road for almost 3 weeks and the tour is soon coming to an end. On Sunday we go our separate ways. Some of the group are going home, some are continuing their travels, like me. Adam is driving back down to Cape Town to start the tour all over again! I fly to Harare, where I will begin another adventure. I am looking forward to meeting the ambassadors from Plan Australia and visiting Alisa (my sponsor child).
We left Chobe Safari Lodge to head for the borders of 4 countries, where they all meet - Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. We are going into Zambia; heading straight for Victoria Falls. It is only a 90 km drive, so it is our shortest day drive yet.
Zambia
We had to cross the river to Zambia by ferry; this is where the Chobe river flows into the Zambezi river. When we were on the ferry there were smugglers in canoes coming up to the ferry to get beer and food being taken across the border, then they don't have to pay entry Visas.
Once we got into Zambia, we headed to the main city area of Livingstone, had lunch and booked our activities for the next few days. I am going on a lion encounter, microlight over Victoria Falls (yay - exciting, can't wait!), and a helicopter ride.
Victoria Falls
After lunch we went to Vic Falls, spectacular to say the least, got drenched, even with a raincoat on, but it was a sight to be seen!

Chez The map does not indicate all places we have been, the blue line only shows, the places I have updated the blog. We have travelled over 5000 kms
