Today we took the bus from phnom phen to kampot which took 4 hours. The driver drove like a complete maniac! I swear we almost crashed 5 times. Saying in a super posh place here $8 a night with aircon! Room is ok basic enough but the matress is as hard as concrete!! Just had a mooch around the town had some dinner which was super yummy and a few beers and headed back to the room. Travelling takes it out of you!

Went to the royal palace today to have a gander amazing how much money is inside those 4 walls yet how poor some people are on the outside. Corrupt as fook!! Locals can piss in the bush at the royal palace but i cant wear a shawl to cover my shoulders so have to buy a tshirt! Takes the piss being a tourist pardon the punn! Booked to go on the giant ibis bus from siem reap to phnom phen as this is the one that has the best reviews, but got picked up by the mekong bus company instead! Booked front row seats and got the second row. So we basically learnt from this that just expect the worst. Bus journey was supposed to only take 5 hours but took 7 in total.
