Today was our last day in Fiji and we spent it at a small island to the south of Viti Levu (the largest Fijian Island, and the one where Suva is). Dravuni is less than 1 square kilometre in area and is home to a village of about 200 people and that's about it. Another tour today, and another wonderful day. Robyn, Adam and I went to a local village, home of the chief of Savusavu. I have seen plenty of postcard worthy scenery, but we just keep getting better and better and today's was by far the best. We arrived by tender at Savusavu and were bundled onto another un-air conditioned bus, but this was only a short ride to the local village. We were bundled into an un-air conditioned bus (humidity still very high, but I had bought a wonderful fan yesterday so it wasn't as bad as it could have been!) with an excellent guide who had heaps of great stories to tell us. First day in Fiji! Port Denarau seemed to be a touristy spot with a few dozen shops, some restaurants (including a Hard Rock Cafe) and a couple of resorts. The scenery was quite pretty, the water in the port being the typical blue you see in postcards and palm trees everywhere.
