Hello again!

Just a quickie to let you all know that we've arrived in Koh Lanta, near where The Beach was filmed. We're staying in a very dinky bamboo hut (pictured above), right on the beach, and you can actually see the sky through the slats of our roof! Our bathroom door is a load of shells attached to pieces of string, so at the moment i'm having to send Mike out onto the veranda when I need a wee - a girl has to maintain her modesty, after all!

We've heard that it's blummin freezing in Blighty, so just to make you all sick with jealousy, i'll let you know that it's about 35 degrees here. In fact, it's so hot that my pathetic skin has just about given up on me, and i'm doing battle with a nice dose of hear rash. Poor Mike - I think my allure has all but gone. First I stopped blowdrying and straightening my locks (oh yes people, it's afro!), then i had to start announcing exactly when I needed a pee, and now i'm covered in spots. How very glam!

The wildlife here has been fab. Aside from the komodo dragon that crept up on Mike in Bangkok, we've also encountered monkeys on the beach, fish that are happy to swim with us, and now a family of lizard's that are sitting just above my computer terminal. I fear i'm about to be nibbled, so i'll leave it there for now. But I hope you're all well, and Sarah and Phil - well done for setting the date at long last!
