Well. What can I say about today. So last night we headed for a camp site just south of Carnarvon called new beach. The camp site itself was quite busy so we followed the mangroves along a track. We found a site and pitched up for the night. This morning we went to leAve and discovered water over the track we cAme in on. The tide had come right up. So we decided to try and miss it by going a bit off road. It failed miserably. The back diff was touching the mud/sand and one of the tyres had sunken a good half a meter. Nether less we dug and dug and put as many sticks, along with the floor mats, a bbq grill and a tarp under the wheels. Still it wouldn't move. At this point (3 hours later) we decided to go for help. Help was 6ks away at the camp site! Long walk. We found a guy a 4x4 to pull us out. She came out easily with a little torq! After leaving the site at half 3! (We set off at 10) we then started our journey towards Monkey Mia. We found a lovely homestead where they have naturally heated pools. Just what the doctor ordered after hours of digging. Long day. Off to bed early!
