Day five of Contiki As soon as we crossed the border into Austria it was clear. The alps and rivers were a perfect combination of Germany and Switzerland and the weather is perfection. Day three and morning four of Contiki! Was a travel day, which means there's not much to report. We left the hotel early, and arrived in Switzerland late. The night was spent in a refurbished prison, which was amazing, but obviously not over accommodating. Our event for the day was a lake cruise in Lucerne, the wine was rubbish but the views of a perfect crystalline lake framed by Swiss alps easily made up for it. Day two of Contiki! College girls do as they please. Today was our only Parisian day on the tour, and rather than visiting the Arc de Triomph, the Louvre or the Catacombs- Katelyn, Bec and I shopped, ate a three course lunch (including escargot and two bottles of wine), and spent the afternoon stumbling drunkenly through the streets of Paris back to the Musee de d'Orsay where we caught the return coach. My last day in England was wonderful. After an early start Katelyn and I were quickly split from the other pair and ventured off into the city. A morning of shopping and mocha frappucino's later we wandered off to Trafalgar Square to visit the most iconic landmarks- the Houses of Parliament (and Big Ben), Westminster Abbey, St James's Park and Buckingham Palace.
