Hiked ~14km in Petra, seeing most of the tombs and ruins there. Gorgeous mountains and steep cliffs. Tons of caves, feral cats, bedouin families, carved staircases through narrow sandstone gorges... Well worth the 50 pounds for foreigners or 1 pound for Jordanians (this time they didn't buy that I was a Jumean)!!!

Spent morning till sunset hiking, climbing >2000 stairs). Left the site as the rangers were placing lit candles along the trails for "petra by night".

Treated ourselves to nice wine and dinner at the best restaurant in town to celebrate Zaid's birthday.
