After a long 9 hour wait a KL airport (even though we got the shuttle into the city it was midnight and so dead so bit of a silly idea), got to New Zealand at night but the time difference was all over the place so headed straight for a long sleep! We were staying with my mums cousin Chris and his wife Marilyn, they drove us around to see the areas and beaches around them and despite it being very very cold (compared to 7 weeks in Asia) the sun was shining and everything was so beautiful, I got to meet lots of the family and it was especially nice to see my grandads sister Mary, we had a lovely lunch out and enjoyed some good food for the first time in a while, had lots of NZ BBQ's and they were definitley trying to feed us up. After buying a few warmer clothes in the city a few days later we headed into the NZ bush called the 'Coramandel' it was absolutley amazing and so different to anything I've ever seen before, they own 50 aches of the bush and have built there own lodge, after another yummy BBQ the sun came out the next day and Chris took us on a walk into the bush and we visited some of the other amazing properties and projects people were working on. After a lovely week with them it was time for them to drop us at a place called 'hot water beach' where we began our kiwi experience bus ride, we were suppose to be on it for 2 weeks but it ended up just over a week as was alot more expensive than we thought, we got off to a slow start but once we got into it we absolutley loved it, first night we spent in a place called Waitomo before heading off to Rotorura the next day.
