So its the last night in Sydney-feels so strange as it has gone so quickly! But i suppose on the other hand, when i think about it i was still sat at my desk this time 3 weeks ago!
Over the last few days we have fitted in quite a few activities! We have climbed the Harbour Bridge at night which was an awesome sight, got a little history lesson and a few stops along the way-the outfits werent very attractive though! We werent allowed to take our cameras up there though so no pics of that im afriad!
Tomorrow we start our tour up the East Coast, will be on that for 2 weeks making our way up to Cairns-am looking forward to it and it looks like the caoch is already waiting outside the hostel the night before which is good-we can just jump on in the morning. The hostels have improved a bit since the first one we stayed in. The second one had an en-suite and a nice kitchen-the people were nice as well. The one we are staying in at the moment has 10 beds in the room, and the facilities seem really nice.
Yesterday we went on a tour of the Blue Mountains which was really good. We saw a couple of wild kangaroos and walked all the way dopwn the the waterfalls. Was such hard work on the way back up though! In the afternoon we decided to take the steepest railway in the world (officially!) back up to the top. The tour guide was really nice though and we got lunch provided (they love their pies over here!).
Not sure if i have updated this since we went for our free BBQ on Coogee Beach the other day, but that was fun, we then walked all the way round to Bondi beach in the afternoon, but iuts not really been the weather for sunbathing or anything this week-have been in cardigans all week really. Hope it improves!
Oh and also, i must have a rant about this...someone in the hostel stole my chocolate biscuits!! I thought i was going mad at first (or it could have been the 4 free wines id drunk!) but they were gone! I had to accompany my midnight cup of tea with M&Ms instead!
Last night in the oub we were all (me, Sam, Mike, Ian and Katie) talking about New Zealand, as we all seem to be going there at some point. I realised i have been given 28 days to do a 13 day trip, so i will definitely be going off the beaten track or doing additional activities to pass the time. I was thinking i want to do Zorbing-apparently you can do it with some water in the bubble with you as well, that could be interesting! I will also do my skydive and i have discovered some accomodation (not along my route but i will make it my business to go!) where you can do a farm stay and help them out feeding the animals etc for a few days-definitely want to give that a go! Katie wants to do a tour in NZ as well but doesnt kniow which one yet, maybe we can meet up somewhere. Also looking forward to staying with my friend Emily in Auckland at the end of my trip-she has been in contactg and says i can stay there for a couple of days which is great!
Anyway-i will update this again as soon as i can-there are a few more pics for you to look at now as well.... (only a few mind!) xx
