What a weeeeek!

Thurday was just AMAZING. woke up and had our morning surf as usual. Then came in for lunch. Kane (Our surf instructor) told us we would surf again in the eve as it was going to be pretty flat in the afternoon...So he suggested that we went sandboarding instead. What a mistake!

First of all we had to drive over these huge rocks on the beach to get to the maseiiiiive sand dunes. honestly i though the van was going to tip over! when we did finally get there i realised i hadnt put any sun cream on so lathered myself up. We were given belly boards to throw ourselevs down on but had to climb up this huge hill ! Once we were up we had top run across the burning hot sand to get into the middle of the dune before jumping on the board. it took me about 5 minutes jst to get across! Once on a started to pick up speed pretty quickly so i dug my feet into the sand. Before i knew it i had head dived into the sand summersaulted 3 maybe 4 times before landing flat on my face. Luckily i was unharmed but totally covered in sand! I looked like some sand monster cause it was all stuck to the suncream! It was up my nose in my hair...EVERYWHERE!

I was hoping when we got back to the beach house i'd be able to have a shower but nooo. We had decided to book quad bikes so were straight back on the road to pick up the bikes. OMG! They were soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun. Me and ruth shared a bike so we cld save the pennies but took it in turns to drive. we went along the beach and then over to shipwreck bay. We were driving up to 80kmph ! such an adrenalin rushh. ....Then we had our crash.. We were driving along about 50kmph and the beach looked flat infront. But it wasnt. We ended up throwing ourseleves into this ditch. for a moment i honestly thought ruth was going to die and i was going to break a rib! Were survived though ruth with a sprained wrist and me with crushed boobs (:

I can't believe the week has to come to an end. We've made some great friends (that i cant seem to find for the life of me on facebook!) and have got some great memories to take with us :D

Last night when we got back to auckland we went out for a really lush meal and a few drinks with some of the guys we met. Was really nice way to end the week! Lol on the way back in the car i fell asleep when i woke up kane told me i was sleeping with my eyes open!! Then after our lunch stop i fell asleep again. ruth said i was twitching with my eyes and mouth open....its just getting scary now. first the talking in my sleep now the eyes open and twitching :/ I think im a lil retarded.

...Getting picked up tomrw morning and headig down to Mercury bay and cathedral cove where there is hot water pools! Cant wait. will let you know all about it.
