Today was an INCREDIBLE day! Rob and I left Rotarua very early as we were booked on the first tour of Hobbiton (near Matamata) at 9am. It was absolutely amazing, the guides were enthusiastic and knowledgable, and so much effort was put into maintaining the Shire, there were gardeners everywhere. It was a really pretty idyllic setting and we got a beautiful day with clear blue skies - the only problem was it was too sunny for some photos!!! Rob isn't a lotr fan but even he enjoyed it, they made it a really interesting experience and it was very pretty. We also liked the cider at the quaint Green Dragon pub at the end!

After the tour we drove back up to Auckland, where we chilled out for a bit until the evening. Then we set off to meet Oli and her friend Cat in town for the rugby! We had tickets to see the Lions v Blues, which was brilliant. The Blues even did a Hakka at the start! I didn't really know the rules but the atmosphere was so fun, even if the Lions did lose! Particularly as the guys in front fancied Oli so kept trying to get us all to bet, do Mexican waves, drink their beer...
