We arrived in Mendoza early and headed straight over to the hostel. After booking our next bus to Tucuman we went out and spent the day walking around the city. It's not the prettiest but it was still very nice to chill out and walk in. We also spent a lot of time trying to sort out a wine tour the next day, as there was a nationwide strike on all public transport!

Later we found the only Irish bar in town and watched the Manchester City match, then went out for dinner. We had amazing steak and wine and were adopted by a dog called Jessie (one of the hundreds of strays that follow you around here) who stayed with us for three hours, even at dinner! I now want a puppy for Christmas...
