Welcome to the island of 'THE BEACH ' Our Accommodation here was really nice 'Bay View Resort' and as the name suggests we had a great view over the bay. Upon arrival from the ferry the accommodation is at the edge of the shoreline so we had to take a longboat to the resort- ha this was challenging entering and leaving a long tail boat with our large rucksacks :-) we made it ok as well as the other 25.people lol they really like to cram them in.
The views from the room well they come with a good aul steep climb up - also not a good combination heat + rucksack - but we made it:-)
Only here for two days we wanted to make the most of our time so booked a full day trip of all the islands from 9am until 7pm for the next day. Unfortunately it was over cast and rained on and off for most the day however we still enjoyed it - scenery was fantastic - photos don't do it justice - however 'The Beach' scene was crammed full with tourists so didn't quite have the same effect - but was accompanied with some amazing snorkelling so all in all a. Good day :) We got talking to 3 people from China - whom were really friendly so when we got bk to land we arranged to go bk to our rooms shower change & go for evening meal - had a great evening and exchanged numbers as learnt today that Facebook & other social media is banned in China - learn something new everyday :-0
