Hello, Thought I would change this postcard to include what we have done since we have been in Byron! As I said before the Hostel and people are nice but the rooms are a bit sucky. Doesn't help that we have a girl in our dorm who doesn't wash! NICE! So she is making the room even smellier! Yesterday we went into Byron itself and checked out the little town there. It's nice. Spent a little time on the beach as it was quite sunny. Then we went to a bead shop and made some beads which was fun - if Ellen is reading this she will remember how obsessed I (Dan) became whilst in California! Well it seems I haven't changed! Last night there was a BBQ in the hostel which was nice as you get to meet more people. After that we played 'uno' with everyone (I knew those cards would come in handy!!). So that was a good laugh! We got called common by an English guy which was a first we must say! So he was nice...NOT! Today we went to the hippy town/enclave called Nimben. It was cool very multi coloured and cool. We were offered Marajuana in all forms which was interesting! I think we got high from just breathing in the fumes! The bus we went on was painted in rainbow colours and was called 'The Happy Bus' so we got a fair few looks! Prepared us for when we get our Wicked Camper! Getting the bus to Brisbane tomorrow evening. Then staying in a hostel there for a night will explore 'Brizzie' on Monday before picking up the camper. Then we are headed to Noosa for a few days including 'Anzac Day' (public holiday). So all should be good! Hope that you are all well and that the weather back home is picking up for you all now!
