Just back from our hols and wow haven't you been covering some ground!!! Portugal looks beautiful - I bet its even nicer having most of it for yourselves..... and a full roast dinner - I can see Oonagh's grin from here.

Cooling down here as well although it has a nip in the air during the day not just the evening - we will well and truly be into Winter by the time you get back. But I suppose a bit of rain won't bother you after the beautiful weather you have been having.

Thank you for thinking of me on my birthday - it was lovely to get your text, even though the signal was so poor I didn't pick it up until 17th September!!!

Hi Oonagh and Dale,

Just wanted to say how great it is to hear about your exciting travels. Life here is so dull, and it seems that Autumn has arrived now! You boys send their love. Back to school now thank god! Dan has started at Furze Platt and loves it. Tommy is sending me full reports on behaviour etc! Fraser and James are really glad to be back too.

Not long now before you're home eh? Must do a Costa and Catch Up!

Glad you both enjoyed Barcelona. I'd forgotten how lovely it is. Did you make it to the top of La Sagrada? Sure you can risk it now the Will's done!! For the record, we'd be more than happy if you decided to settle in Barca when you're done exploring - holidays there would be fantastic!

Can't believe its nearly September... you'll be back before we know it! Really looking forward to seeing you both. Although you have some explaining to do where Cheeky Monkey's concerned... You do realise Callum is watching Cheeky Monkey, don't you?! Can't believe the things he's getting up to!

The weather here is still rubbish - apparently last weekend was good but I missed it (in Belfast with Mum), I got home in time for sunset!!

This weekend we are off camping in Oxford - I doubt it will be anything like the experience you are having but being the Bank Holiday I am praying for good weather at long last.

Isn't Barcelona wonderful, your blog brought it all back to me. Although it doesn't seem you were bothered by the beggars outside La Famillia? Perhaps they have done something about them at last they were a real pain. Did you stop and have coffee and a cake in Las Ramblas - I can picture it now;-)

Monkey is on the run!!! Thank goodness you hadn't put bail up, but you can't leave him in Spain - do you think he will be able to get across the border? Mind you the weather is better there than the rest of Europe.

We had a lovely weekend but cloudy and cold again today with rain forecast for the rest of the week!! So much for the barbecue summer.

I thought Monkey was getting a bit ahead of himself, was he trying to steal the police van? I think he has probably learnt his lesson now - I vote you pay the bail so long has he says sorry and lets you borrow his bandages for Chef's toe - ouch:o)

No wonder it is so busy in France, all their offices are closed down for the month of August for the summer break - everyone is on holiday!!

The weather is still rotten, it is raining as I write and I expect it will rain all weekend too! Wish I was there with you.

Can't believe Monkey's been arrested! Although I think the picture shows the men in white jackets waiting to arrest Dale for walking around with a toy monkey!! Not sure how I'm going to explain this one to Callum.

We had a lovely day (in the rain) at Chessington. Callum is a complete dare-devil wanting to get on all the rides he's tall enough for. When I asked what he wanted to do next Friday ("anything you want Callum") he told me he wanted to go on the aeroplane on a holiday... wonder if he might have meant to see you?! I reckon you've left a tape playing in his room to hypnotise him at night!

A quick update: Its raining, Tony is married, its raining, I have damaged my knee, (torn cartlidge) its raining, the ALP is back, its raining, Spike has a new clutch in his car (ask him), its raining and Jason and Chris have moved house. Did I mention, its bloody RAINING again. Love Mick.

Poor Monkey - lucky you had a good supply of bandages, looks like he has used them all up:-) and Dale eating fish, did you tell him it was chicken?

Corsica looks absolutely beautiful, I am surprised you haven't just decided to stay there a few weeks longer....

Monkey looks well settled in anyway, he'll be driving the van next!

Sitting here on a damp and cold Tuesday morning, looking out of the window and thinking of you - hoping that you are already on the beach, Dale has had his morning swim, Oonagh has had her first ice cream and Monkey is fully recovered from his trauma...

Wow what a difference a week makes. The weather is looking good for you at last - it has all gone down hill here, poor Joanna had a really damp evening last night but we still had a great time and I hope all her friends had a good time too!! They were certainly up for it!

Poor Monkey, I hope you were able to get him the medical treatment he needed? You are both looking so well - I can't get ovr how tanned you are, especially as you have had so much rain.
