I woke up at Bariloche at 2 am. I gathered my things and went to the single airport there, and took a plane north to Medoza, Argentina. When I arrived, I took a small car the the base camp at Aconcagua Mountain, the highest mountain outside of Asia.
Wow. What. A. View. Reaching almost 23,000 feet, this mountain was overwhelming. I could not believe that I would be climbing it. It took a few hours for my tour guide to prepare me for the treacherous hike. Then, we started the hike. We hiked for about 7 hours, until one of the other hikers slipped on a rock. He broke his ankle. So, after the tragedy, we then had to turn around and go back down.
I was pretty sad because my adventure was cut short by some clumsy fellow. We reached base camp mid-afternoon, and went back to the city. I decided that I should just call it a day and go to bed. So, I found the cheapest hotel and fell asleep the second I arrived in the room.
