Happy New Year again everybody, hope you all had a good one and made plenty of resolutions (we know you well remember, ha ha)
We've been doing the Sydney rounds visiting Bondi beach (Bondi to Coogee beach walk and game of beach criccket/rounders!), Manly town and Beach and the City itself including the Botanical Gardens, Hyde Park & Opera House and just too many tourist shops to even begin to list, Kangaroo paw back scratcher anybody ? or maybe a Cane Toad purse . Glebe Markets were also a very cool place to spend your Saturday morning with loads of Bohemian wares on offer, all only a short walk away from where we've been staying.
One evening we decided to view the Worlds largest cinema screen at the Imax just across the road and at over 35 Metres wide its certainly got to be seen to be believed ! Dark Night!
We're back in Sydney for a day as we have returned from the Stunning Blue Mountains and dropped in for a much needed update to our blog.
BLUE MOUNTAINS...
BEAUT! The views simply amazing and the trekking/hiking magical and... excercising!
We visited the lookouts of Govetts leap, Evans and of course Echo point to see the 3 Sisters which are amongst the most famous mountains in the range, also lit up at night the place is very beautiful.
Wentworth Falls was a little challenging as we climbed around the cliff face but deffo not to miss! The village of Katoomba was a great place for eating out, drinking, shopping (full of antique shops) - had a great relaxed vibe. Would definately have stayed longer.
Also - on route we couldn't help but stop at a house turned into a puzzle and gaming shop! (It's the Scooby Doo influlence) Was well funny - had a piano that played by itself too... now that's a mystery! ;)
Back in the beast that is our camper van has been good (missed her loads) - but also a nice toliet!!!
Next Stop is Melbourne so a couple of big drives for us coming up and the great ocean road beckons ! Will keep you all updated on our next stage ! Hope all are well back home and enjoying the start to 2009.
