The last leg of my Australian adventure was Brisbane, capital of the sunny state, Queensland. After all the exertions of the last three weeks I thought it would be nice to have a moment of calm. I had already arranged to stay with a lovely friend's sister and her home was just what I needed. She provided not only a nice bed, laundry and a TV but warm hospitality and a ready smile. Nothing more to ask for.

Arriving on Valentine's day you'd have thought i would have gone out but instead I made the most of a free house and cooked dinner and chilled out. A very clever and caring so and so had even sent me my very own valentine's treat so I wasn't strictly alone... I had my new teddy companion :)!

However I thought I had better end Australia in style so I spent a day at the koala sanctuary. I saw tonnes of gorgeous koalas plus wombats, snakes, bats, dingos, and of course... Kangaroos!!! Check out my kanga-selfy on Instagram ;)!

My weekend was the perfect way to end the second leg of my travels in Australia. I've met some amazing people, seen the most incredible wildlife, coastline and drank more goon than I should have. But Australia, it has been a pleasure! Next stop... FIJI!!!
