16 July 2014 Hamburg to Frankfurt
25C Sunny
I spent some time this morning packing as we are almost on our way home.
Before leaving Hamburg, I climbed the St Michael's Tower which is just 50m from our apartment. The views are great and there were a lot of others up there enjoying the scenery.
We then set off for the station to go to Frankfurt which is 4 hours by train. Once again it's an ICE which is a very comfortable ride and we get to speeds of 250km per hour. We pass corm and wheat fields as well as wind turbines and it's flat for the journey which passes quickly while we watch a movie and read books.
We are staying close to the Main Station in Frankfurt and as soon as we arrive, we take a walk into the shopping centre of town. The sales are on but there are people everywhere so after an hour or so we settle into a small Japanese restaurant for dinner.
Tomorrow we board our flight for Ho Chi Minh City and then though to Sydney. This is our final blog entry for our holiday, I hope you have enjoyed reading about our holiday and we look forward to catching up with you all on our return.
