Prague
Rain, Cool 18C
We were up early to get to the train station by 9am, it was raining so out came the Ponchos for our quick dash to the station some 800m away from our apartment. We took the metro to the main train station and then boarded the train to Prague. They announced it was 15 minutes late due to technical issues, that’s because the previous train had not left the station and it was running late due caused by another country!! It appears it was not their (Austria's) fault!
Never the less once boarded we had a pleasant journey into Prague. It rained most of the way and once again we passed many corn fields and wind turbines along the way. We arrived at our apartment which is called Apartment Beer Spa by taxi from the station. The apartment
is very nice, spacious – good size kitchen with separate bedroom located on the 3rd floor very close to everything. It is located above the Beer Spa, we will tell you about this on Thursday after we have enjoyed the spa treatment… stay tuned
We set out walking and found a good cup of coffee then realised we had headed away from the main centre so backtracked arriving at the Astronomical Clock just in time for the 5.00pm chime. There was a large crowd gathered to watch the clock strike. We then went into
St Nicholas church on the next corner built in the 1700’s it was very beautiful inside. It seems that the rain will not go away tonight so returned home for dinner.
We spent a restful night in our apartment.
