Well, just one final blog, to say that I have returned safely from my trip.
I had an awesome time, seems better in retrospect than perhaps it did at some moments, but im not sad its over because now i can put all my motivation to good use.
Home does feel slightly weird, and i realise ive been away much longer than it felt like until now. good to see family again, and pets, pretty sure the dog doesnt know who i am. My rooms changed abit, looks alot brighter, neater, and grown-up. like me :) except the brighter and neater parts. possible not the grown up either. But i'll leave that up to other people to decide how ive changed. Im happy i took the opportunity to go away, slightly disappointed in the financial side of the adventure, but better to go now while i have the chance and that nice funding appearing in my bank account in afew months :)
I hope you're enjoyed reading my blog. im probably going to delete the photos off here in afew weeks so as to preserve my copyright (got some good ones i like and dont want randomers to steal!). But dont worry, im going to get a select few printed, maybe make a short album or something so that these pictures arent lost to 4 very full SD cards and that they shall be seen and the times remembered! I have some stories to tell, theyre not that interesting really, nothing really that amusing, so if you want to talk about it then i shall certainly oblige, and try to otherwise keep my gap year adventure to short sentences rather than long philosophical rambles.
Heres a recap:
Best country: liked different things in different places. Thailand i liked alot because it was so different from the other places i went and i wish i had been to other asia countries more especially as theyre so cheap. I think NZ and Oz get a big hype and not all of it lives up to it that well, people get over-excited about it being on the otherside of the world. Although one girl thought NZ was near norway...she wasnt a traveller.
Worst place: Krabi in Thailand, Depths of LA, Queensland (due to a series of mishaps).
Scariest thing: white water rafting and almost dying in northern thailand.
Best thing: 7day coastal walk by myself in western australia.
Theres other stuff, but those seem to be the things i'd ask first, and i know everyone will say 'wheres your fav place?' ... but thats a very hard question to answer!
Thanks to you all for taking the time to read my blog and look at my pictures. I hope it's provided a good record of my trip, but also an insight into my world for the past 273days. I look forward to seeing you all soon, Best wishes, Cass x
