Our last few days have been so hot! California is in a bit of a heat wave! We had a great few days exploring San Diego and then we met our family friends Elia and Paul in Newport Beach and have had a lovely few days with them! Our first day in Vegas was amazing, we spent about 2 hours taking in our comfy bed and clean toilet and massive shower, a very big difference from our hostel life. We finally made it to LA after a very long 13 hour flight! Although our jet lag took about 3 days to overcome we have had the best time in LA and made the most of every day. We have had such a jam packed few days in Cairns and have loved it here. We had another boat trip to the great barrier reef and it was suprisingly great! We had the best moment of the whole trip on the way to the reef when a pod of 7 huge humpback whales were in front of our boat!
