Hello!!!!
Well we have had a really busy few days and some new experiences!!!
It seem to be ages since we last did a blog entry but I think it is because we have done so much since the last one. We had a nice couple of days in Mui Ne by the seaside, and then the day that we were moving on to our next stop we got up at 4:15 AM!!!! This is a time that we have not seen before but it was well worth it, as we got to see the sunrise from some amazing white giant sand dunes. This was one of the best experiences so far and was made even better by the fact that there wasn't many people there!! After the white dunes we then moved on to some red ones a fishing village and finally a fairy stream!! The fairy steam was basically a shallow stream but the girls liked the fact that it was called fairy!!
We then moved on to Na Trang to find ourselves split up in the hostel accomodation which wasn't what we booked but we accepted it to later be told that they had upgraded us to a 4 bedroom private ensuite!!!! We tried out a mud bath in a Trang which was really cool and messy at the same time! We all felt like pigs wallowing in mud!! Later on in the day we discovered that in Na Trang they like to buy the vodka by the bottle not the glass!! So we bought bottle... and as you can imagine we had very good night!!
The next morning was not so much fun especially as we had to get up at 7:30 as we had planned a full day of boat trips and monkeys. Lets just say the boat trip didn't agree with Jess but by midday and after some lunch we were all feeling better. We spent the day watching animal shows, lying on some beautiful beaches and watching Jo ride an Ostrich!! Me (will) and Ted were going to ride one but we were to heavy :( ....not impressed!
In the afternoon we headed to monkey island which was really good and full of crazy monkeys!! One of them thought that it would like to have a taste of the ice lolly Jess had just bought and very quickly pinched it off her!!! (she was not impressed!)
Later on we were to experience our first overnight bus journey which would take 13 hours!!!!! It wasn't to bad apart from the crazy conductor, dangerous driver, poo on the toilet floor when we stopped for a break and the tiny beds....sounds lovely doesn't it. On the brightside it did cover a nights accomodation and we got a bit of sleep. Oh and ted would like to add that the air con didn't work and he also worked out that he was the only person on the bus without a fan!!!
We had a great first day in Hoi An looking around the old market town and also getting measured for our tailor made clothes!! This was a lot of fun and we ended up with more than we expected!!
Today has been busy this morning we went to My Son (pronounced meeeeeee soooooooonnnnnn by the locals in a really deep voice) which is a temple complex but unfortunetly a lot had been bombed in the war, we were still able to look around the remaining bits in the beautiful surroundings. We then spent the afternoon at the marble mountains and came back with several buddhas!!
Were moving on to Laos next and the internet may not be available for a bit as in the South they are only just getting electricity!! So we shall we in touch as soon as we can.
All our love
Me(will), Jo Ted and Jess :)xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
p.s we all went in a cyclo tonight back to the hotel which was good fun
p.p.s Ted caused the first accident, but we sorted it out with cold water (it was Jo's thumb) and it is working ok now :)
