auntie Terri Just think I was in Byron Bay in 1986. Caught the bus from Sydney and stayed one day at the hostel then managed to move into a house on the beach as the cook! Cairns was really quiet but great hostels but the beaches were great. Be careful of the jellyfish. There was a great camping place in the bush, very rough but it sounds like you have done enough rough. Beware fresh water crocks!! lol
