The Chernobyl disaster site is so cool. So far we have learned that it happened in 1986 and the cause is the reactor exploded because it was putting out a bunch of extra heat so when they put water in it that caused a flash steam and the steam carried the nuclear fumes out into the outside air. It devastated the crop for miles around. The radiation from the explosion killed some people instantly, but the unlucky ones suffered from disease. Twenty years after they still have problems there, during that time their birth defect rate rose to twice as match as the entire worlds. The people that owned farms in the area contaminated didn't know their land was contaminated so they sold their crop and cause even more disease. This Ukraine disaster is horrible to think about. I'm ready to go study the black forest.
